About Us

 

The Society, formed in Perth, Western Australia in 1995, continues and extends the activities of the former West Australian Recorder Guild.

 

Our aims are to:

​

-promote an interest in early music (pre-1800) played on all instruments, and music for recorders from any period.

​

-encourage the study, performance and interpretation of early music

​

-stimulate community interest and appreciation of recorder music and early music 

​

-promote fellowship and musicianship of players of all early instruments
